
Obosa Queens overturn Onimarg FC 4-2 to reach NWFL Nationwide 2026 final
Obosa Queens FA recovered from two goals down to beat Onimarg FC 4-2 at Enyimba Stadium and reach the NWFL Nationwide 2026 final.
Obosa Queens FA defeated Onimarg FC 4-2 at Enyimba Stadium in Aba to reach the NWFL Nationwide 2026 final. They will face C2E Sports Academy in the championship decider.
Onimarg made the stronger start and built a two-goal advantage within the opening 33 minutes. Victoria Yakubu put them ahead in the 10th minute, while Adeomo Lovelyn added a second in the 33rd.
Obosa Queens responded almost immediately after the first goal. Chinemerem Nnachi reduced the deficit in the 13th minute, giving her team a way back into the contest despite Onimarg retaining the lead for most of the first half.
The equaliser arrived in the second minute of added time before the interval, with Ogunlari Adewunmi making it 2-2 at 45+2. That goal sent the teams into the break level after Obosa Queens had recovered from their difficult opening spell.
Obosa Queens completed the turnaround after half-time. Idowu Saidat moved them in front in the 55th minute, putting the side ahead for the first time in the semi-final.
Aliu Rofia then settled the tie in the second minute of added time, scoring at 90+2 to complete the 4-2 victory. The result confirmed Obosa Queens as the second finalist in the NWFL Nationwide 2026 competition.
Their final against C2E Sports Academy will decide the champions, with both sides now one win away from the trophy. Obosa Queens reach that match after overturning a two-goal deficit, while C2E Sports Academy also secured a place in the championship contest.
