Femmco 01 Championship honours Akanji, Olowoselu and other stars

Akanji Jibola and Olowoselu Korede were among the leading award winners at the Femmco 01 International Football Championship August Camping, where standout players and coaches from four age groups were honoured at the NUD Playing Ground in Olose, Ifo.

The awards covered the U-10, U-13, U-15 and U-17 categories, recognising individual performances during the competition. The organisers also honoured a grassroots sports supporter for its contribution to youth football development.

Ibrahim Iklaas of Femmco Football Academy took the U-10 Most Valuable Player award, while Anyasi Godwin Nnamdi, the head coach of Authority FA, was named the category’s Best Coach.

Ultimate FC’s Ojeleye Korede won the U-13 Best Player prize. The corresponding coaching award went to Adeosun Lukmon Bamidele of Sharp Striker FA.

Ibrahim Abdulrahmon received the U-15 Best Player award, with his ability from free kicks highlighted among his strengths. Adeyinka Ogundeji of Rakel FA was named the division’s Best Coach.

The U-17 awards went to Adesola Toheeb and Coach Oluwafemi Adebayo Oladehinde. Toheeb, a defensive midfielder with Rakel FA, was selected as the category’s Most Valuable Player, while Oladehinde collected the Best Coach award for Femmco FA. Akanji was named the U-17 Young Best Player, and Olowoselu received the Overall Young Best Player of the Tournament honour. Mama of Africa Foundation completed the awards list with the Most Supportive Grassroots Sports recognition, reflecting the championship’s role in providing young players from Ifo and beyond with opportunities to compete and develop.
