Peixoto and Trippier feature on Wolves Express ahead of opener

Wolves head coach Cesar Peixoto and summer signing Kieran Trippier have shared their views on the upcoming Championship season via the Wolves Express podcast. The club's official quickfire programme arrives ahead of the opening fixture against Blackburn Rovers at Molineux on Friday evening.

Peixoto expressed confidence that the squad is prepared for the new league campaign following their pre-season preparations. While the head coach faces his first match in English league football this evening, he believes his tactical approach will fit the team. He noted that managing in England was a long-term ambition and stated he is proud to lead a historic club.

New right-back Kieran Trippier discussed his integration into the squad during his initial months at the club. The experienced defender spoke about his decision to play in the Championship with Wolves and what he intends to contribute to the team. Having previously secured promotion to the Premier League from the second tier, Trippier also commented on the challenges the division will present this season.

Trippier addressed rumours from earlier in the summer regarding his contract, describing reports that he considered terminating his deal as nonsense. He also mentioned gaining an understanding of the internal environment at Molineux prior to his arrival.
