Swedru All Blacks beat Cheetah FC 2-1 in pre-season friendly

Swedru All Blacks defeated Cheetah FC 2-1 in a friendly match on Thursday. This result marks the second consecutive win for the Ghana Premier League side during their pre-season programme.

Abubakar Zayat opened the scoring for the Swedru-based club with a penalty in the 20th minute. Musah Salisu secured the win for All Blacks by scoring in the 80th minute. Cheetah FC remained competitive throughout the match but could not prevent the defeat.

The club is using these friendly fixtures to prepare for the 2026/27 campaign. This follows a difficult previous season where the team finished 15th in the league. They ended the last season with 44 points, which was only one point clear of the relegation zone.

To avoid a similar struggle in the new season, the squad has undergone changes during the off-season. The coaching staff used the match against Cheetah FC to evaluate the new players and assess the team's readiness for competitive football.

This victory follows a narrow win against Winneba Youth on Wednesday. Swedru All Blacks will continue their preparations over the weekend, with more friendly matches scheduled for the coming weeks.
