Teremoana secures 12th straight KO and joins Fury-Joshua card

Teremoana secured his 12th consecutive professional knockout victory with a second-round stoppage of DeAndre Savage in Queensland, Australia. The win maintains the heavyweight's perfect record and positions him for a high-profile appearance on the proposed Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua undercard.

Prior to this contest, the 28-year-old had won all 11 of his professional fights by knockout, with nine of those finishes occurring in the first round and two in the second. In his main event debut, Teremoana faced Savage, an American fighter who had also won his previous 11 bouts by stoppage before losing to Brandon Moore last September.

Teremoana used his 6'6" frame and hand speed to dominate the opening round. While Savage avoided being knocked down during the first three minutes, he struggled to respond to the pressure. The fight ended in the second round after Teremoana landed two straight right hands to the temple, leaving Savage unable to continue. The fighter chose to kneel and wait for referee Phil Austin to complete the count.

Following the victory and a haka in the ring, Teremoana indicated that he expects to fight on the undercard of the Fury-Joshua event. Eddie Hearn confirmed that this is the current plan, though he noted that the level of opposition for Teremoana will need to increase to match the scale of such a card.

This development comes amid ongoing discussions regarding the Fury-Joshua fight. Hearn has previously suggested he might cancel the event if there are premature announcements regarding the fight taking place in the United States.
