USA Eagles host Argentina XV in Florida exhibition match

The USA Men’s Eagles will host Argentina XV in an international rugby exhibition match this Saturday at Miami FC Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. This uncapped fixture serves as a high-level preparation tool for both sides ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

For the USA, the match offers an opportunity to test new players and different tactical combinations within the senior squad. Head coach Scott Lawrence, who utilizes a data-driven and structured approach to coaching, aims to evaluate his athletes under pressure. The Eagles are scheduled to compete in Pool E of the upcoming World Cup against France, Japan, and Samoa.

Argentina XV acts as the development side for the senior Los Pumas squad. The match provides Super Rugby Americas players with experience against a senior international team. Argentina will compete in Pool C of the 2027 tournament against Canada, Fiji, and Spain. Under coach Álvaro Galindo, the side focuses on physical combat and high-speed creativity.
