Arsenal projected to win Premier League title in computer model

After running 10,000 simulations, the model predicts the Gunners will finish eight points ahead of Manchester City. Liverpool are expected to occupy the third position in the standings.

The projected top five is completed by Manchester United and Chelsea. These rankings suggest a return to the upper echelon for both clubs, as they are forecast to finish ahead of Tottenham, Newcastle, and Aston Villa. This simulation arrives before the summer transfer window has closed and before the season begins on 21 August.

At the bottom of the table, the model predicts that all three promoted clubs will be relegated immediately back to the Championship. Coventry City, Ipswich Town, and Hull City are the teams identified for the relegation zone. Nottingham Forest are projected to finish just above the drop zone.

Early fixtures for the promoted sides include Coventry City travelling to Arsenal on 21 August, Hull City hosting Manchester United the following day, and Ipswich Town playing Sunderland at home. Other opening matches include Manchester City hosting Bournemouth, Liverpool visiting Newcastle, and Chelsea playing away at Fulham.

While the simulation provides a baseline, the results remain subject to change due to upcoming transfers, tactical shifts, and player injuries. The model cannot account for how new signings will adapt or the impact of the 2026 World Cup on squad availability. The actual season will run from 21 August until 30 May 2027.
