AshantiGold and Semper Fi draw 0-0 in X1 DOL Super Cup

FC AshantiGold recorded their first point of the 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup following a 0-0 draw against Semper Fi. The Group B fixture took place at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Both teams began the match with a cautious approach during the opening period. The intensity increased during the second half as both sides generated multiple opportunities in search of a goal, but neither side could find the back of the net.

Goalkeepers played significant roles in maintaining the deadlock throughout the match. Semper Fi's Godwin Agboso delivered a strong performance with several vital saves to keep his side in the contest. AshantiGold also benefited from the form of Fatau Seidu, who entered the match in the first half to replace Bismark Baffour. Seidu produced important interventions to protect the clean sheet for his team.

The stalemate means AshantiGold has accumulated one point from two matches played so far. Semper Fi also sits on two points after their opening two games in the tournament.

Both clubs now face a critical final group stage fixture. A victory is required for either side to maintain their chances of qualifying for the next stage of the competition.
