Ayra Starr to Headline the 2026 NFL London Game Halftime Show

Ayra Starr will headline the halftime show when the Philadelphia Eagles play the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2026 NFL London Game on October 11. The game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. BST at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the Nigerian-Beninese Afrobeats singer will become the first African artist to lead an NFL international halftime performance.

The appearance places Ayra Starr at the centre of a record seven halftime shows planned for the NFL’s 2026 International Games. The performances, presented by American Express, will span seven countries and four continents during the league’s biggest international schedule to date.

Ayra Starr said London was among her favourite cities and described taking her Starrgirl identity to the NFL’s global stage as a major personal ambition. Her performance will follow the release of her third studio album, Starrgirl, which arrived on August 14 with collaborations involving ZAYN, Leon Thomas and Wizkid.

The singer has recorded more than seven billion global streams and over one billion YouTube views since beginning her career in 2021. She has also received two Grammy nominations for Best African Music Performance, won the BET Award for Best International Act and performed at Glastonbury Festival’s Pyramid Stage.

Tim Tubito, the NFL’s senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment, said Ayra Starr’s ties to London and the influence of African music made her a suitable choice. The league said her show would build on the role halftime performances have played at recent London games.

The stadium will host another NFL fixture on October 4, when the Indianapolis Colts meet the Washington Commanders, although alternative halftime entertainment is planned for that game. Ayra Starr’s October 11 performance will be shown live in the United Kingdom on free-to-air channel 5 and Sky Sports.
