Mane hails Al Nassr mentality after 3-2 Saudi Pro League win

Sadio Mane scored twice as Al Nassr recovered from a 2-0 deficit with ten men, then praised the team’s resolve after Ronaldo was substituted.

Al Nassr overturned a 2-0 deficit to beat Al Ettifaq 3-2 in the Saudi Pro League, with Sadio Mane scoring twice in the comeback. The win came after goalkeeper Bento was sent off in the 12th minute, leaving Al Nassr with ten players for most of the match.

Al Ettifaq took advantage of the numerical difference and moved two goals ahead before half-time. Al Nassr then made a major attacking change by taking Cristiano Ronaldo off, leaving Mane to lead the forward line as the team attempted to recover.

Mane responded with both goals that completed the turnaround. His double transformed a difficult match into a victory for Al Nassr, who continued to attack despite the early dismissal and the two-goal deficit.

Speaking after the final whistle, Mane focused on the team’s attitude rather than his personal contribution. He said the players had refused to give up from the opening minutes through to the end and described their response as a sign of the mentality Al Nassr need.

The Senegal forward also praised the remaining players for their effort after Bento’s red card. He said the group’s reaction had made him proud and called the performance a strong example of collective commitment.

Joao Felix was also used to help Al Nassr launch attacks during the recovery. The comeback gave the team a result built on resilience, after it had faced a red card, a 2-0 deficit and the removal of Ronaldo before securing all three points.
