Bob Mpinganjira named July Coach of the Month

Bob Mpinganjira has been named the FDH Bank Premiership Coach of the Month for July 2026. The Mighty Wanderers manager earned the recognition following a successful period where his side remained undefeated.

Mpinganjira led the Nomads through a campaign in July that saw them secure two wins and one draw from three fixtures. His team displayed significant offensive strength during this stretch, scoring a total of six goals while conceding only a single goal. This defensive and attacking balance helped him secure the monthly honour.

In winning the award, Mpinganjira beat out two other nominees from the Super League of Malawi. He finished ahead of Kenwood Nkhoma, who coaches Kamuzu Barracks, and Kondwa Ikwanga of Chitipa United. The decision follows the statistical dominance shown by the Wanderers throughout the month.

Speaking on the achievement, Mpinganjira was quick to share the credit with his staff and squad. He noted that the accolade is not solely about his individual contribution but is a result of the work done by the entire Wanderers setup. He dedicated the prize to the players, the technical panel, and the wider club community.

As part of the award, Mpinganjira will receive a cash prize of K500,000. The recognition highlights a period where the Nomads appeared difficult to beat in the Premiership competition.
