Dillon Danis withdraws from Mike Perry fight, Jenkins steps in

Dillon Danis has pulled out of his scheduled fight with Mike Perry, leaving Brandon Jenkins to step in for the Duel: Arena headliner on Saturday in Orlando. Perry announced the opponent change at a press conference on Thursday.

Jenkins, who has a 17-11 record, is a former UFC and PFL fighter. He also won on the MVP MMA event staged by Netflix. Perry enters the bout with a 15-8 record after defeating Nate Diaz in a Netflix fight in May.

The replacement fight will take place at a higher weight than the original contest. Perry agreed to the change because Jenkins accepted the bout at short notice. Jenkins was travelling to Orlando to weigh in the following morning before fighting on Saturday.

Danis has now been linked to at least seven cancelled bouts since 2019. The list includes the collapse of his planned meeting with Tony Ferguson under the GFL banner, although that particular cancellation was not attributed to Danis.

The withdrawal adds to an unsettled recent record for Danis, whose last MMA appearance came in August 2025. He submitted Warren Spencer after 15 seconds in that fight and has also wrestled twice for RAF since then.

After Perry revealed the change, Danis shared a video that appeared to show him receiving stitches for a cut. He accompanied it with a message expressing disappointment and saying that injuries can happen in fighting. Perry, meanwhile, remains set to face Jenkins as Duel: Arena begins in Orlando.
