Dynamos hold Scottland to 1-1 draw in Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League

Dynamos drew 1-1 with Scottland in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League as Wisdom Mutasa cancelled out Panashe Mutimbanyoka’s second-half opener.

Dynamos drew 1-1 with Scottland in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League. The result leaves Dynamos third on 46 points from 26 matches, with 11 wins, 13 draws and two defeats.

Panashe Mutimbanyoka gave Scottland the lead in the 65th minute, finishing a move created by a cross from Emmanuel Jalai. Dynamos responded five minutes later when Nathan Mutasa supplied the pass, Ben Dauda Sidibe flicked the ball on and Wisdom Mutasa found the equaliser.

The draw extends Dynamos’ unbeaten run to five league matches. They had won four of their previous five games, beating Platinum FC 1-0 away, MWOS 2-0 away, Hardrock 2-1 away and Agama 4-0 at home, with a goalless draw against Simba Bhora in between. Their season record also includes a 37-19 goal difference.

Both teams had opportunities before the goals. Dynamos were denied by the crossbar early in the second half, while Scottland had a first-half goal from Khama Billiat ruled out for offside. Panashe Mutimbanyoka had also missed a chance after being played through in the opening period.

Isaac Landu was named man of the match after limiting Billiat’s influence. The Dynamos defender was central to a contest that remained closely balanced, with the home side preventing Scottland from turning its early chances into a winning advantage.

Scottland made changes in the second half as Knowledge Musona and Walter Musona entered for Moses Shidolo and Emmanuel Ziocha. Dynamos held firm through the closing stages, despite late disagreement over a handball appeal involving Landu. Dynamos next face Chicken Inn on 23 August 2026.
