FC Samartex complete move for Ghana Premier League midfielder Sowah
FC Samartex have completed the permanent signing of 21-year-old Vision FC midfielder Meshack Adjetey Sowah after his 25-game 2025/26 season.
FC Samartex have completed the permanent signing of Vision FC midfielder Meshack Adjetey Sowah, adding the 21-year-old to their squad ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season.
Sowah played 25 matches for Vision during the 2025/26 campaign. His performances placed him among the domestic players attracting attention in the current transfer window, with his work in midfield identified as a key part of his appeal.
The midfielder’s move to Samartex follows several weeks of interest from the club. Hearts of Oak were also pursuing him, but the Timber Giants secured his signature and have now completed the transfer from Vision FC.
The deal brings Sowah back together with Nana Kweku Agyemang. The coach managed him at Vision FC before recently taking charge of Samartex, and he was the person who recommended the player to his new club.
Samartex finished fifth in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League with 50 points. Sowah now joins a team seeking to move beyond that position, with his arrival expected to strengthen the creativity and energy available in midfield.
The club will also want the new signing to settle quickly as preparations continue for the coming season. His previous relationship with Agyemang gives Samartex an established link to build on as the midfielder begins the next stage of his career.
