FC Samartex sign midfielder Meshack Adjetey Sowah from Vision FC

FC Samartex 1996 have completed the permanent signing of Meshack Adjetey Sowah from Vision FC, adding the 21-year-old midfielder to their squad for the new season.

Sowah played 25 times for Vision FC in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign. His performances placed him among the leading domestic midfielders targeted during the current transfer window, with his energy, creativity and influence in possession attracting interest from several clubs.

Hearts of Oak were also pursuing the midfielder, but Samartex secured his signature. The move gives the Timber Giants a player who has already gained significant experience in Ghana’s top flight despite his age.

Sowah will also link up again with Nana Kweku Agyemang at Samartex. Agyemang, who recently became the club’s head coach, previously worked with the midfielder at Vision FC and recommended him to the club before the transfer was completed.

Samartex finished fifth in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League with 50 points. Their recruitment of Sowah comes as they seek to strengthen the midfield and improve on that league position in the upcoming campaign.

The club will now work to bring the new signing into the squad ahead of the season. Sowah is expected to contribute attacking ideas and intensity in midfield as Samartex prepare for their next league challenge.
