The NWFL Nationwide 2026 group stage ended in Aba with 17 goals across four Matchday 3 fixtures. The final round produced three winning teams, one match result involving the remaining fixture, and no draws as the competition moved towards its knockout phase.
Kwara United Queens began the day’s scoring in Group A with a 1-0 victory over Solo Wonders Babes. Amarachi Nnorom settled the contest in the seventh minute by converting a penalty, giving Kwara United Queens all three points from a tight match.
C2E Sports Academy recorded the biggest win in Group B, beating Lakeside Queens 5-0. Oluchi Nwaboghogu put C2E ahead after eight minutes, while Agnes Ohuche then scored four times. Her goals came in the 16th, 38th, 47th and 76th minutes.
Onimarg FC also claimed a high-scoring win, defeating Ubakala Babes 4-2 in Group C. Adeomo Lovelyn opened the scoring in the 13th minute, but Onyeocha Queen levelled from the penalty spot before half-time. Islamiat Yusuf restored Onimarg’s lead in the 74th minute and scored again two minutes later. Grace Patrick pulled one back for Ubakala in the second minute of stoppage time, while Onyediran Favour completed the scoring in the seventh added minute.
Osklean FA secured the Group D result with a 2-1 win over Plateau United Queens. Ijeoma Stephen scored in the 28th minute and Favour Chika added a second shortly before the interval. Juliet Okoloko reduced the deficit in the 49th minute, but Osklean maintained its advantage until the end.
The group stage has now given way to the knockout phase, where the remaining teams will contest the two promotion tickets available from the NWFL Nationwide 2026 competition. Ohuche’s four-goal display was the individual highlight of a final matchday that also featured two other victories by two-goal margins and Kwara United Queens’ narrow success.
