Hearts of Oak target every trophy in 2026/27 season, says Opare Addo

Hearts of Oak communications director Kwame Opare Addo says the club will pursue every trophy in 2026/27 under new coach Nebojsa Kapor.

Hearts of Oak have set their sights on winning every available trophy in the 2026/27 season, communications director Kwame Opare Addo says. The ambition comes as the Accra club prepares to begin a new chapter under head coach Nebojsa Kapor.

Opare Addo said the club wants to restore success and give majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV more victories to celebrate. He said Hearts believe winning matches and competing for honours would also help bring the club’s supporters together behind the team.

The Phobians have endured several difficult seasons and have not won the Ghana Premier League since their 2020/21 title triumph under Samuel Boadu. Their latest target therefore represents an attempt to move quickly from that disappointing period and return to the top of domestic football.

Hearts also expect to add about five players before the transfer window closes. The planned recruitment is intended to strengthen the squad as Kapor begins his work and as the club attempts to compete across all available competitions during the coming campaign.

The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season will start at home for Hearts, who are scheduled to face Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium. That fixture will provide the first league test of the new coach’s team and the club’s expanded ambitions.
