Francis Odoom completes move from Hohoe United to Heart of Lions
Heart of Lions have completed the signing of Hohoe United forward Francis Odoom ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
Francis Odoom has completed a permanent move from Hohoe United to Heart of Lions, strengthening the Kpando club’s attack ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The 24-year-old forward joined Hohoe United from Dreams FC in July 2024 and spent two seasons with the Volta-based side. During the 2025/26 campaign, he played 21 league matches, scoring twice and registering three assists.
Odoom’s recent spell at Hohoe came during an inconsistent run. The club lost their last three listed matches, going down 0-3 away to Hearts U21, 0-3 at home to Dreams and 0-1 at Swedru All Blacks, before recovering with a 2-1 win at Medeama and a 1-0 victory over Samartex.
His move adds another attacking option to a Heart of Lions squad preparing for the new campaign. The forward is able to operate in different positions across the frontline, giving the club additional flexibility in the final third.
Heart of Lions finished the 2025/26 season in mid-table and will be seeking a stronger league performance in 2026/27. Odoom’s arrival forms part of their efforts to improve the squad before the season begins.
Odoom started his professional development at Dreams FC, making 12 Ghana Premier League appearances in the 2023/24 season. He also featured twice for Dreams in the CAF Confederation Cup before moving to Hohoe United.
The forward is expected to join his new teammates during Heart of Lions’ pre-season preparations. Although the transfer has been completed, its official confirmation is expected in the coming days.
