Galatasaray president refuses to sell Osimhen to Arsenal

Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has issued a firm warning regarding the future of Victor Osimhen, stating the club has no intention of selling the Super Eagles striker. The 77-year-old president insisted that the Turkish champions will not part with the Nigerian forward regardless of the financial offer received.

Arsenal have shown a long-standing interest in the 27-year-old as Mikel Arteta seeks to add more attacking options to his squad before the transfer window closes. While discussions between the two clubs previously involved a £38.5 million offer for Galatasaray winger Gabriel Martinelli and mentions of Ethan Nwaneri, Osimhen's availability was also raised during these negotiations.

It remains uncertain if the interest in the Nigerian striker was initiated by Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta or if the player was offered to the Premier League side. However, Galatasaray's stance appears to be a significant barrier to any potential move for the forward.

The club's resolve is highlighted by their recent rejection of a €130 million (£111m) bid from Al Hilal. That offer for the striker was delivered via an intermediary representing the Saudi Pro League club, but Galatasaray declined to enter negotiations.

Osimhen has become a central figure for the Istanbul-based club following his permanent move after an initial loan spell. His profile offers explosive pace, physical strength, and aerial ability, qualities that could provide a different dimension to the Arsenal attack.
