Ghana Premier League 2026/27 opening weekend gets two TV games
Two Ghana Premier League 2026/27 opening-weekend fixtures will be televised on TV3 and Onua TV, with streaming available on Adesa+.
Two matches from the opening weekend of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season have been chosen for live television coverage. The fixtures will be shown on TV3 and Onua TV, while supporters without television access can watch through the Adesa+ streaming platform.
The first broadcast is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, when Port City will host FC AshantiGold. The match will be played at Nana Boamah Darko II Park in Kukurantumi, with kick-off set for 15:00 GMT.
Both teams will begin their league campaigns in the opening televised fixture. The broadcast gives the match an early place in the public schedule for the new Ghana Premier League season, although no result or league position is available before the campaign starts.
The second selected game will take place on Sunday, September 6. Hearts of Oak will welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Accra Sports Stadium for another 15:00 GMT start.
The two fixtures were confirmed by the Ghana Football Association as part of the league’s opening-weekend television schedule. TV3 and Onua TV are the official broadcast partners named for the coverage, with Adesa+ providing an additional viewing option.
The announcement covers the first two days of the 2026/27 campaign: Port City against FC AshantiGold on September 5, followed by Hearts of Oak versus Berekum Chelsea on September 6. Both matches will be played at 15:00 GMT.
