Heart of Lions close in on Sena Ati after Hearts of Oak move fails
Heart of Lions are nearing a deal for former Hohoe United winger Sena Ati after his proposed transfer to Hearts of Oak collapsed.
Heart of Lions are nearing a permanent deal for former Hohoe United winger Sena Ati after his proposed move to Hearts of Oak was called off. The 26-year-old made 19 league appearances during the 2025/26 season and scored three goals.
The Kpando-based club have moved quickly to take advantage of the collapsed agreement, with negotiations now at an advanced stage. The transfer window is due to close on August 23, giving Heart of Lions limited time to complete the move.
Ati became one of the most followed players in the transfer window after his performances for Hohoe United attracted interest from several Ghana Premier League clubs. Karela United were also among the teams who had been pursuing the winger.
His game is built around speed, dribbling and the ability to operate on either flank. Those qualities would give Heart of Lions another attacking option if the club completes the agreement before the deadline.
The failed Hearts of Oak move has left Ati looking for a new destination, while Heart of Lions have the opportunity to secure a player who has drawn attention across the domestic market. The proposed transfer remains close to completion, but the deal must still be finalised before the window shuts.
