Ibrahim Tanko pleased with Medeama SC scoring in Abidjan camp

Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko is encouraged by the attacking performance of his players during their current pre-season training camp. The Ghana Premier League champions have scored five goals across three friendly matches held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The Yellow and Mauves have maintained a consistent scoring record, finding the back of the net in every game played so far. During this period, the team has recorded two wins and one loss.

While the offensive output has satisfied the coaching staff, Tanko noted that the team's defensive displays require attention. He described the goal conceded in their most recent friendly as avoidable.

Tanko believes the three-week residential camp in the Ivorian capital is the ideal environment to address these defensive lapses. He stated that the team is using these matches to work on their finishing and overall preparation before the competitive season starts.

The squad will participate in one more friendly match on 15 August to continue their assessment. Following that fixture, Medeama SC will travel back to Ghana to enter the final stage of their pre-season preparations.
