Jalin Turner stops Kauê Fernandes in 39-second KO at UFC 330
Jalin Turner needed 39 seconds to stop Kauê Fernandes by first-round knockout at UFC 330 and claim a second straight victory.
Jalin Turner stopped Kauê Fernandes by knockout in the opening round at UFC 330, finishing the lightweight bout 39 seconds after it began. The victory came at Xfinity Mobile Arena and extended Turner’s winning run to two fights.
Turner seized control immediately after Fernandes missed with a spinning back fist. A left hand landed cleanly, sending Fernandes to the canvas, where Turner followed and continued the attack with punches from above.
Fernandes covered up as Turner maintained the pressure. The referee intervened before the fight could develop further, giving Turner a rapid stoppage and leaving Fernandes with no opportunity to establish his offence.
The result builds on Turner’s previous victory over Edson Barboza, who retired earlier on the same UFC 330 card. Turner now moves forward from back-to-back wins after producing another decisive finish.
Turner also made clear that a return to the rankings is his next objective. He said he wanted to see his name next to a ranking again and was willing to face opponents from the top 15, top 10 or top five. The Fernandes victory gives him a strong case for a higher-level assignment in his next appearance.
