Kurt Okraku praises Ghana football’s seven-season domestic resilience
GFA president Kurt Okraku says Ghana’s football system has completed its domestic calendar without major disruption for seven straight seasons.
Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku has praised the resilience of the country’s domestic football system after the successful completion of its competitions for a seventh consecutive season.
Okraku made the remarks on Thursday, August 20, at the GFA’s 32nd Ordinary Congress held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. He presented the uninterrupted calendar as evidence of sustained commitment across the game.
The GFA president credited clubs, match officials and administrators with helping to keep the programme running. He also recognised the role of security agencies, sponsors, partners and other stakeholders in delivering both regular-season and off-season competitions.
The achievement means Ghana has completed its domestic football programme without major disruption in each of the past seven seasons. The consistency has allowed the association to maintain its competition schedule while preparing clubs, players and officials for the next campaign.
The continued organisation of the competitions has also been framed as an important foundation for Ghanaian football following the Number 12 video. The GFA is placing emphasis on stability as it continues to oversee domestic football across the country.
The new football season is scheduled to begin in the first week of September. Okraku’s comments come as the association looks to carry the same continuity into another campaign.
