LCB Corporate Games 2026 begin with 16 port sector companies

The 2026 LCB Corporate Games have started with 16 companies from Ghana’s port and logistics industry competing in the Accra and Tema zones. The tournament is scheduled to run for between 12 and 14 weeks, with the leading teams from both zones advancing to a final for the overall title.

The event is in its fifth year and brings together institutions whose work is linked to Ghana’s ports and logistics operations. It provides a sporting programme for employees while also creating an opportunity for companies in the sector to interact outside their usual business activities.

The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority has entered two teams in the competition. Its Fire Department and Mechanical Department sides are both taking part as the participating teams pursue places in the final stage.

LCB Worldwide Ghana Limited is organising the games as part of its corporate social responsibility programme. The company says the initiative also helps it explain its work and engage more directly with organisations and communities connected to its operations.

The tournament is intended to promote fitness, teamwork, recreation and stronger relationships among business partners in the port and logistics sector. It also serves as a networking platform, allowing staff from institutions that regularly work with one another to build social connections through sport.

The overall winners will receive GH₵20,000. The first runners-up are due to collect GH₵10,000, while the second runners-up will receive GH₵5,000. Competition now moves to the fixtures in the two zones before the leading sides meet to decide the fifth edition’s champion.
