Moses Usor shines as LASK beat Ried 4-1 in Austrian Bundesliga

Nigerian forward Moses Usor recorded a goal and two assists to help LASK maintain a perfect start to the 2026-27 Austrian Bundesliga season.

Moses Usor delivered a standout performance for LASK as they secured a 4-1 victory over Ried in the Austrian Bundesliga on Friday. The Nigerian forward contributed directly to three goals, scoring once and providing two assists to help his side maintain a perfect record in the 2026-27 campaign.

Despite an early ninth-minute goal from Ried's Niam Sissoko, LASK responded quickly to take control of the match. Usor provided the assist for Samuel Adeniran's equalizer before scoring the goal himself to put the hosts ahead. Adeniran then scored his second of the game in the 27th minute to extend the lead to 3-1 before the interval.

Usor remained central to the attack in the second half, assisting Christoph Lang to make the final score 4-1. Although LASK were reduced to ten men following a red card for Robert Ljubicic, they maintained their dominance to secure the win. The result keeps LASK at the top of the league after three matches, following previous wins against Grazer AK and Austria Wien.

Statistically, Usor was the most influential player on the pitch. He recorded the highest match rating of 9.2, having completed all his dribbles and winning 75% of his ground duels. The 24-year-old also led the game in shots with three attempts, created three chances, and recorded seven touches inside the Ried penalty area.

This performance brings Usor's tally to five goal contributions in four matches this season. His current form comes as LASK prepare for a UEFA Champions League playoff fixture against Celtic on Wednesday. For the Nigerian international, these displays continue to bolster his profile ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
