O’Shaquie Foster signs multi-year Top Rank extension ahead of return

O’Shaquie Foster has signed a multi-year extension with Top Rank, keeping the two-time super featherweight world champion with the promotion ahead of his return in the autumn. Foster holds a 25-3 professional record, including 12 victories inside the distance.

The new agreement extends a partnership that has helped rebuild Foster’s career and establish him among the leading fighters in his division. Foster also credited his relationship with Top Rank and DAZN, saying the next stage would bring larger challenges as he continues pursuing major opportunities in boxing.

Foster turned professional in 2012 and began working with trainer Bobby Benton in 2017 after experiencing setbacks in and outside the ring. A long winning run took him to a February 2023 meeting with Rey Vargas, where he won the vacant WBC super featherweight title.

His first defence came against Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez in Cancun. Foster stopped Hernandez with 22 seconds left in the 12th round, then followed that performance with a decision victory over Abraham Nova. He lost the belt to Robson Conceição by split decision in July 2024, but regained it four months later by edging Conceição on another split decision.

Foster has since added two significant wins to his record. He outpointed two-division world champion Stephen Fulton Jr. in December before defeating former featherweight world champion Raymond Ford by majority decision in Houston in May. Those results form the latest part of the championship run Top Rank will continue promoting under the renewed agreement.

Foster’s manager, Keith Mills, said the extension gives the fighter the platform to compete on major stages, meet elite opposition and continue chasing his highest ambitions. Top Rank president Todd duBoef also highlighted Foster’s recent progress and his willingness to take on difficult opponents as reasons for continuing the relationship.
