Oasis Primary School Arua win FEASSA Games 2026 gold after 3-0
Oasis Primary School Arua completed an unbeaten FEASSA Games 2026 campaign by beating Bungo Primary School 3-0 for boys’ football gold.
Oasis Primary School Arua won the boys’ football gold at the 2026 FEASSA Games after defeating Bungo Primary School 3-0 in the final match at the Muslim University of Morogoro stadium. The West Nile school finished the competition with six victories from six matches and did not suffer a defeat.
The decisive game was settled in the first half. Junior Feni put Oasis ahead in the fourth minute, beating Bungo goalkeeper Said Akra Masukila. Abdul Alici added the second in the 21st minute before completing his brace in the 40th minute to establish the final score.
Oasis had already built a perfect record through wins over Monire of Kenya, Tanzania’s Kibamba and Bungo, Kenya’s Nyabondo and Agongo, as well as a team from Rwanda. Their consistency across the round-robin programme carried them to the title without needing a result beyond victory in each of their six fixtures.
The champions scored 19 goals during the tournament and conceded only two. Raphael Munguoi captained the side, while the team was guided by head coach Jordan Mas Mawa.
Mawa attributed the triumph to preparation and the lessons learned after Oasis struggled at last year’s FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya. He also credited the players’ bravery, commitment, determination and courage, while thanking the board, fellow coaches and the wider technical team for their support.
The 2026 FEASSA Games concluded on Saturday, 22 August, in Morogoro. The primary school programme also featured netball, handball, volleyball, cross country and athletics before the participating schools began their journeys home.
