Power Dynamos sign 18-year-old Daniel Silubonde on loan deal

Power Dynamos have added 18-year-old forward Daniel Silubonde from lower-tier Morkved Sportsklubb on a one-and-a-half-year loan. The reigning MTN Super League champions sit third in the CAF Champions League 2025 standings with seven points from six matches.

Silubonde arrives as Power Dynamos strengthen their squad with a young Zambia international. His agreement keeps him at the club for one and a half years, following his move from Morkved Sportsklubb.

The forward represented Zambia at the FIFA U17 World Cup Qatar 2025. He was part of the team that advanced to the round of 32 at the global tournament, giving him experience at an international youth competition before his move to the champions.

Silubonde is expected to progress into Zambia’s under-20 setup. He is also likely to feature in the squad for the 2026 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA qualifiers, which are scheduled for next month.

Power Dynamos’ Champions League record stands at two wins, one draw and three defeats, with four goals scored and seven conceded. Their domestic form has been stronger: they beat Mufulira Wanderers 2-0, Green Eagles 1-0 and Konkola Blades 2-1, while drawing 2-2 with Mutondo Stars and 0-0 at Kansanshi Dynamos.

The club’s next listed Champions League fixture is away to Al Merreikh on 5 September 2026. Silubonde’s arrival comes as Power Dynamos continue their campaign while sitting third on seven points after six matches.
