Sunderland make initial offer for Napoli midfielder Anguissa

Sunderland have made an initial move to sign Napoli midfielder Zambo Anguissa. The Black Cats submitted an offer for the Cameroon international, but Napoli have rejected the proposal.

While Anguissa's contract is not due to expire until 2027, his long-term situation became uncertain after Napoli did not secure a new deal with him last summer.

Sunderland have previously been linked with the former Fulham player. The midfielder has been a significant figure in Naples, contributing to two Serie A titles during his time with the club.

Despite the interest from the English side, Napoli manager Max Allegri wants to retain the midfielder in his squad. The club's stance remains firm on the required fee for any potential departure.
