Tottenham submit £85m formal offer for Manchester City winger

Tottenham have submitted a formal £85m (€98m) bid to Manchester City for the transfer of winger Savinho. The proposal meets the financial figure Manchester City originally requested at the start of negotiations.

Despite the high valuation, the deal remains unresolved as Manchester City continue to resist the move. This resistance has led to a stand-off at the Etihad Stadium. Savinho missed training under Enzo Maresca on Thursday, an absence linked to his desire to complete the move to Tottenham.

The 22-year-old Brazilian is seeking more consistent playing time. During the last year, Savinho made 36 appearances but only started 14 of those matches. He believes a move to Tottenham will provide the regular minutes and Premier League continuity required to secure his place in the Brazil national team for the upcoming World Cup cycle.

While Tottenham have met the financial demands previously reported to exceed £70m (€81m), City have not yet given the transfer the green light. The player is pushing for the move, but the situation is currently stuck between the two clubs.
