UEFA Champions League 2026/27 play-offs end in 0-0, 1-1 and 2-2 draws
Levski Sofia, AEK Athens, Fenerbahçe, Lyon, GNK Dinamo and Viking all drew in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League play-off first legs.
All three UEFA Champions League play-off first legs played on Tuesday ended level, leaving every tie undecided before the return matches next week. Levski Sofia and AEK Athens drew 0-0, Fenerbahçe and Lyon finished 1-1, while GNK Dinamo and Viking shared a 2-2 result.
Levski Sofia and AEK Athens could not break the deadlock in their opening meeting. The goalless score means neither side gained an advantage before the second leg, with the tie still entirely open.
Fenerbahçe and Lyon produced the only match in which both teams scored on Tuesday. Their 1-1 draw gives each club one goal from the first leg, but leaves the qualification contest balanced ahead of the return fixture.
GNK Dinamo and Viking had the highest-scoring game of the night, ending 2-2. The result gives both teams two goals in the tie, with the deciding match still to come next week.
The remaining first-leg fixtures in this play-off round are scheduled for Wednesday. The Wednesday programme will complete the opening set of matches before the competition moves to the return legs next week.
The winners of each two-legged play-off will secure places in the UEFA Champions League league phase. Clubs that lose their ties will instead enter the UEFA Europa League league phase, making next week’s second legs decisive for the teams involved.
