Unbeaten Moses Jolly added to Itauma-Hrgovic undercard on Aug 29

Moses Jolly will face world-ranked Guido Vianello on the August 29 Itauma-Hrgovic card at The O2 Arena in London.

Moses Jolly, unbeaten at 12-0 with eight victories by knockout, has been added to the August 29 card featuring Moses Itauma and Filip Hrgovic. The Welsh heavyweight will face Italy’s Guido Vianello at The O2 Arena in London.

The bout gives Jolly his most demanding test so far against an opponent ranked 12th by the IBF and 14th by the WBC. Vianello also has a stoppage win over Arslanbek Makhmudov, who recently faced Tyson Fury.

Jolly’s perfect record has been built across 12 professional fights, but Vianello represents a significant rise in opposition. The 30-year-old Welshman now has the chance to strengthen his standing in the heavyweight division by defeating a contender already placed in the world rankings.

Vianello is seeking a route towards title contention as the heavyweight division adjusts after Oleksandr Usyk vacated his unified world championships. A win over Jolly would support the Italian’s bid for a stronger position among the fighters pursuing opportunities at the top of the division.

The main event will see Itauma and Hrgovic contest the vacant IBF heavyweight title. Itauma would become the second-youngest world heavyweight champion in history if he wins, while the Jolly-Vianello fight adds another heavyweight contest with consequences for the division’s developing title picture.

The wider bill includes a British and Commonwealth welterweight title meeting between Constantin Ursu and Ben Vaughan, as well as Sam Noakes against Denys Berinchyk and Alous Youmbi versus Mike Perez. The event will be staged at The O2 Arena and broadcast on DAZN.
