Brighton weigh move for Millwall and Nigeria forward Femi Azeez

Brighton are considering a summer move for Millwall forward Femi Azeez, whose 11 goals and eight assists have attracted Premier League interest.

Brighton & Hove Albion are considering a move for Millwall forward Femi Azeez as the Premier League club reviews its options before the summer transfer window closes. The 25-year-old has become a target after a productive season in the Championship.

Brighton’s interest is linked to the situation involving Amario Cozier-Duberry, who has been associated with a possible transfer to Scottish Premiership club Rangers. Azeez is being assessed as a potential option for the Seagulls as they consider how to strengthen their attacking group.

Azeez is expected to leave Millwall this summer and is understood to be available if a suitable fee is offered. No move has been completed, but Brighton have retained strong interest in the versatile forward following his performances last season.

The Nigeria international scored 11 goals and supplied eight assists in 34 appearances for Millwall. That output established him as one of the Championship club’s key attacking players and has placed him on the radar of a Premier League side.

Azeez also made his Nigeria debut at the Unity Cup in London in May. His first appearance for the Super Eagles followed his club form and added international recognition to his case for a move.

If Brighton proceed, the transfer would take Azeez from the Championship to the Premier League. For now, the club are weighing whether to advance their interest before the summer window shuts, while Millwall face the prospect of losing a forward who made a significant contribution last season.
