Chelsea place near £100m valuation on Neto amid Al-Hilal interest
Chelsea have valued Pedro Neto at almost £100m amid reported interest from Al-Hilal, despite the club receiving no formal bid this summer.
Chelsea have put a valuation of almost £100m on Pedro Neto amid reported interest from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal. Neto joined Chelsea from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £54m in 2024 and signed a seven-year contract.
The winger has made 103 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 19 goals and providing 19 assists. He has been a regular feature of the club’s pre-season preparations since returning from his post-World Cup break.
Chelsea have not received a formal offer for Neto this summer. He has also been linked with Manchester City and Tottenham, although reports of Tottenham making an enquiry were disputed by people close to both clubs.
The valuation reflects the high prices attached to wide players in the current market. Chelsea paid £117m to Aston Villa for Morgan Rogers, while Paris St-Germain have placed a £145m asking price on Bradley Barcola.
Neto started all five of Portugal’s matches at the World Cup before the team went out in the last 16. He did not score during the tournament and recorded one assist.
He was also tested as a right wing-back in a back-three formation during Chelsea’s pre-season victory over Real Sociedad. Whether that becomes a regular position remains undecided. Chelsea’s recent five-match sequence includes wins over Western Sydney Wanderers and Tottenham, defeats against Sunderland and Manchester City, and a draw at Liverpool. Their next listed Premier League fixture is away to Fulham on August 24, 2026.
