Coliseo Boxing sets Noche Suprema with four WBC titles in Hermosillo

Coliseo Boxing will stage Noche Suprema in Hermosillo on August 29, featuring four WBC titles, Miguel Berchelt’s return and strict medical checks.

Coliseo Boxing will bring Noche Suprema to Hermosillo on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with four WBC-sanctioned championships and the return of former super-featherweight world champion Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt. The event will take place at the Centro de Usos Múltiples and will include eight professional bouts.

Berchelt will headline the card in a 10-round lightweight contest against Colombian contender Juan Córdoba. The fight will be the former WBC champion’s return to the ring, giving the event its main sporting focus.

The programme will also feature four WBC-backed title fights on Sonoran soil. Promoter Rafa Soto presented the event on behalf of Coliseo Boxing during the World Boxing Council’s Martes de Café press conference at the Sport & Chips facility in Mexico City.

Medical supervision will cover every participant under the WBC’s regulations. The requirements will apply to both the professional boxers and the content creators taking part, with the organisers placing health and physical safety at the centre of the event’s planning.

Former lightweight world champion José Luis Castillo is also scheduled to box. He will face Alfonso Gómez in a four-round exhibition without headgear, renewing a rivalry between the two. Castillo will share the programme with his son, while Sonoran prospects Axel López, Jandell Caballero and José María Hernández will represent the local boxing scene.

The card will include six three-round bouts involving prominent content creators, all under the same medical supervision. Before the boxing begins, a regional music festival will start at 3:00pm, with Su Majestad La Brisa, Alegres de la Sierra, Los Honorables, Tony Aguirre, Luis Mexia and Adriel Favela listed among the performers, alongside a guest artist who has not been named.
