World Boxing Congress 2026 registration opens for Panama City
Registration has opened for the hybrid World Boxing Congress 2026 in Panama City, where seven Executive Board positions will be contested.
Registration is open for the World Boxing Congress 2026, scheduled for 20 November in Panama City, Panama. The congress will be held in a hybrid format and will feature elections for seven positions on the World Boxing Executive Board. The official list of nominated candidates has also been released.
The congress will complete a week of World Boxing activities in the city. The Executive Board is due to meet on 18 November, followed by the Pan-American Boxing Congress and an official welcome gala dinner on 19 November. Delegates are scheduled to leave on 21 November.
The congress and its official accommodation will be based at Hotel El Panamá by Faranda Grand on Av. Central España 111. Registration, hotel bookings, transport arrangements and requests for visa-support letters must all be handled through the designated online entry process.
Under the World Boxing Statutes, each Full Member can send up to three delegates. The third delegate must be a different gender from the first two. Delegates must share the member’s nationality, permanently live in its country or territory, or work for the member, while translators cannot be appointed solely for translation duties. Continental Associations and Associate Members may each send two delegates.
Every Full Member must identify one Voting Delegate, as only those delegates can vote at the congress. Delegate details, including the Voting Delegate, must reach World Boxing Secretary General Tom Dielen by 21 October 2026, which is 30 days before the meeting. The deadline will not be extended, and registered federations that fail to attend will still be charged under the registration terms.
Attendance costs will be paid by National Federation delegates and Executive Board members, apart from the Athletes’ Committee Chair and Deputy Chair. Hotel reservations depend on availability and require payment by bank transfer in US dollars; cards will not be accepted. Three-night packages receive a USD 10 nightly discount and four-night packages a USD 20 nightly discount, with longer stays eligible for the relevant nightly reduction.
Panama International Airport is the official arrival point, and registered delegates can arrange free return airport transfers through the organising committee. Visa needs depend on nationality, with applications made individually. Requests for invitation or visa-support letters, accompanied by a passport copy, must be submitted by 30 August 2026, while delegates are advised to begin visa procedures early because processing times vary.
