FC Samartex close in on Hamza Musah of relegated Eleven Wonders
FC Samartex are advancing negotiations for 20-year-old Eleven Wonders defender Hamza Musah after the club’s relegation from the Ghana Premier League.
FC Samartex are closing on a move for Eleven Wonders centre-back Hamza Musah ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season. The 20-year-old defender made seven league appearances for Eleven Wonders during the 2025/26 campaign.
Negotiations are progressing, with Musah expected to sign a contract with the Timber Giants once the remaining arrangements between the clubs are completed. The move is expected to be concluded in the coming days.
Samartex are targeting Musah to add depth and defensive strength to their squad. The club finished fifth in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League with 50 points, collecting 13 wins, 11 draws and 10 defeats. Their recruitment plans are focused on building a team capable of finishing higher in the next campaign.
Eleven Wonders were relegated at the end of the season, leaving several of their players open to moves elsewhere. Their recent run also underlined the difficult campaign, with defeats in each of their last five matches against Bibiani Goldstars, Berekum Chelsea, Asante Kotoko, Swedru All Blacks and Bechem United.
Musah has consequently attracted interest from clubs in the top flight, with Samartex now in the strongest position to secure his signature. His arrival would give the club another young defensive option as preparations begin for the 2026/27 season.
