GFA secures corporate partnerships across Ghana domestic football

The GFA has added sponsors across youth, women’s and Division One competitions, including new deals with UMB, Gold Fields Ghana and Kivo.

The Ghana Football Association has secured a fresh group of corporate partnerships covering several levels of the domestic game. The agreements include deals lasting two, three and four years, with support extending from youth football to the Women’s Premier League and Division One League.

GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku announced the partnerships at the association’s 32nd Ordinary Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Thursday, August 20, 2026. He said the growing involvement of businesses reflected increased confidence in the association’s work and in the value of its competitions.

Kivo Ghana and JLAB have agreed to serve jointly as title sponsors of the revived U-17 Boys Inter-Clubs Colts Championship through a three-year partnership. The arrangement is intended to strengthen commercial backing for grassroots football and give young players more opportunities to compete.

Gold Fields Ghana will become headline sponsor of the Women’s Premier League for two years, while KFC joins the competition as its Official Meal Sponsor. At Division One level, XI Energy Drink has signed a four-year deal to headline the Division One League Super Cup, and Universal Merchant Bank will become the league’s headline sponsor under a three-year agreement.

The UMB partnership also includes the launch of the maiden UMB U-19 Premier League. The competition is designed to give players moving from juvenile football into the senior game a structured route to continue their development. Simeon-Okraku described the project as an additional competitive pathway for young footballers.

KGL has extended its own GFA partnership for two more years and will remain headline sponsor of the KGL U-17 Colts Inter-Regional Championship. The association also recognised Access Bank’s earlier contribution as Division One League headline sponsor, saying that support had helped the competition’s growth and stability. Together, the new and extended agreements broaden the commercial base of Ghanaian domestic football.
