Ian Machado Garry intends to win over skeptical fans during his welterweight title fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 330 this Saturday. The Irish fighter, who holds a 17-1 record, believes a victory will transform public opinion and result in chants of support for his camp.

The challenger also addressed comments from Makhachev regarding his heritage. While Garry is born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, he responded to suggestions that he is Brazilian due to his extensive training in the country. He stated he would wear a Brazilian badge with pride, citing legends such as Anderson Silva, Jose Aldo, Charles Oliveira, and Demian Maia.
