Isaac Buckman wins MVP as Dwarfs take 2026 DOL Super Cup 5-4

Ebusua Dwarfs won the 2026 X1 Energy Drink DOL Super Cup final 5-4 on penalties, with midfielder Isaac Buckman named Man of the Match. The victory came against Semper Fi at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Semper Fi went ahead during the first half, leaving Dwarfs to recover after the interval. Ebusua Dwarfs found the equaliser in the second half, taking the final to a penalty shootout after neither side could settle the contest in normal play.

Dwarfs held their nerve from the spot to complete the 5-4 success. The result delivered the X1 DOL Super Cup to the club for the first time in its history and turned a final they had trailed in into a landmark win.

Buckman was central to that recovery through his work in midfield. His performance in the final earned him the individual award, with his contribution recognised as Dwarfs secured the trophy.

The midfielder completed the occasion by being selected as the final’s Most Valuable Player. His award came alongside Dwarfs’ historic triumph, adding individual recognition to the club’s first success in the competition.

The win gives Ebusua Dwarfs the title after a final that required both a second-half response and a successful penalty shootout. Semper Fi’s first-half advantage was overturned before Dwarfs prevailed from 12 yards at the Obuasi venue.
