Isaiah Okyere wins Best Player award at 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup

Ebusua Dwarfs midfielder Isaiah Classpeter Okyere has been named the Best Player of the 2026 X1 Energy Drink DOL Super Cup in Obuasi. His award came after Ebusua Dwarfs defeated Semper Fi 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the final.

Okyere did not feature in Ebusua Dwarfs’ opening match of the competition. He returned for the club’s second game and became an important part of the team’s run to the trophy.

The midfielder made four appearances in the tournament and was selected as Man of the Match twice. Those individual recognitions formed part of a series of performances that earned him the competition’s top player award.

Okyere’s influence was concentrated in midfield, where he provided Ebusua Dwarfs with control, energy and a regular presence during their title-winning campaign. He also played in the final against Semper Fi, which remained level at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Ebusua Dwarfs then settled the contest in the shootout, winning 5-4 to claim the X1 DOL Super Cup for the first time in the club’s history. Okyere’s Best Player award therefore came alongside the club’s inaugural success in the competition.

His return from missing the opening game, followed by four appearances, two Man of the Match awards and a decisive contribution to the final, marked Okyere as one of the main figures in Ebusua Dwarfs’ campaign. The individual honour completed his role in the club’s historic title victory.
