Jordan Hermann seeks a second Proteas chance against Namibia

Jordan Hermann is set for another Proteas opportunity against Namibia, whose last five matches include four defeats and one draw.

Namibia have lost four of their last five matches, with one draw from that run. Their only positive result was a goalless draw against Comoros, leaving them without a win across the sequence.

Jordan Hermann is preparing for another opportunity with the Proteas against Namibia. The assignment gives him a chance to respond after his earlier attempt, with redemption forming the central focus around the fixture.

Namibia’s recent results have produced no goals in their past five games. They drew 0-0 with Comoros, then lost 2-0 away to Kazakhstan before suffering a 4-0 defeat at Comoros.

Two further losses followed against Comoros and Tunisia. Namibia went down 1-0 in the second of those Comoros meetings and then lost 3-0 in Tunisia, making the run four consecutive defeats after the opening draw.

That sequence gives the Proteas a Namibia side that has struggled to score and has conceded 10 goals in five matches. Hermann’s task is therefore set against an opponent whose recent form has been defined by defeats rather than results.

The match also carries a personal significance for Hermann because it represents a second chance in the Proteas set-up. The outcome will determine whether this opportunity becomes the redemption he is seeking, while Namibia will aim to end their five-match winless spell.
