Nigeria's NVBF backs Kingsley Alika after FIVB Level 3 success

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation has backed Kingsley Alika to inspire coaches after he became the sixth Nigerian to earn FIVB Level 3 status.

Only 18 of the 32 candidates completed the FIVB Level 3 Coaching Course in Zimbabwe successfully, with Kingsley Alika among those who passed. The Nigeria Volleyball Federation has now expressed confidence that the coach will continue influencing the development of volleyball coaching in the country.

Alika’s qualification places him among a small group of Nigerian volleyball coaches to hold the prestigious FIVB Level 3 certification. It also marks him out as the sixth Nigerian to reach that level, adding significance to a milestone the federation described as important for the national coaching community.

The NVBF credited Alika’s progress to his discipline, commitment and continued pursuit of professional improvement. It said his achievement represented more than an individual success, linking it to the wider advancement of Nigerian volleyball and the people responsible for developing the sport from the technical area.

Alika has also been identified as a potential future FIVB instructor. His updated coaching knowledge and experience from the Level 3 course are expected to strengthen his ability to support coaching education in Nigeria and contribute to technical development beyond the country.

The federation’s backing places Alika in a prominent role among Nigeria’s volleyball tacticians. Its confidence reflects the expectation that he can provide an example for other coaches seeking higher qualifications and encourage more practitioners to pursue advanced training.

The NVBF congratulated Alika on reaching the certification and said it expected him to keep contributing to the growth of volleyball. His next influence is therefore set to extend beyond his own coaching work, with the federation viewing him as a possible resource for the next generation of Nigerian technical staff.
