KickedIn platform uses technology to widen African talent access

KickedIn is building digital profiles and AI scouting tools to help African footballers reach clubs, academies and networks in Africa and abroad.

KickedIn is using digital tools to help African footballers present their abilities to clubs, academies, scouts and agents beyond their immediate surroundings. The platform is designed to address the visibility problems faced by talented players who lack access to established football networks or the resources to reach decision-makers.

Players can create professional profiles featuring videos, highlights, football challenges and performance details. Those profiles are intended to give scouts and other football stakeholders a clearer way to find and assess emerging talent, while allowing players to develop an online football identity that can be viewed across different markets.

KickedIn was co-founded by Eyram Kwawukume. Its central aim is to connect players with the people and organisations that can support their progress, whether within their home countries or through international scouting channels. The platform is targeting possible links with networks in the United Kingdom and Europe, creating a route towards clubs and academies outside domestic leagues.

The project is also developing artificial-intelligence scouting tools. These systems are intended to help scouts search for players who meet particular requirements and examine football footage for information that can assist evaluation. The planned use of video analysis and performance data reflects the growing role of technology in modern talent identification.

KickedIn’s wider vision is a more connected football environment in which African players who have not yet attracted attention can be seen by a broader range of clubs, academies, scouts and agents. By putting profiles, footage and analysis in one digital setting, the platform aims to make scouting tools more accessible to players who might otherwise struggle to secure opportunities.

The initiative has also recognised the contribution of KickNation and Wunnam Haruna to its broader football ecosystem and their work to create opportunities for emerging talent. KickedIn is positioning that ecosystem, alongside its digital platform and developing AI tools, as a bridge between undiscovered players and football organisations searching for the next generation.
