Wisdom Acquah joins Modena on loan after leaving Torino for Serie B
The 19-year-old Italian-Ghanaian midfielder has moved from Torino’s Serie A set-up to Modena in Serie B on loan through June 2027.
Wisdom Acquah has joined Modena on loan from Torino, moving from Serie A to Serie B. The 19-year-old midfielder’s new spell began on 18 August 2026 and is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027.
The transfer places Acquah in Modena’s squad after his time within Torino’s set-up. It is a change of division for the teenager, with Modena competing in Serie B while his parent club remains in Serie A. The deal is temporary, with no purchase fee attached.
Acquah is primarily a defensive midfielder and stands 1.84 metres tall. He is left-footed, giving Modena another option in the holding midfield role as the club prepares for the new campaign. His experience has so far been built in the Italian system through Torino’s youth ranks.
The midfielder was part of the Torino Under-18 team that won the Italian Under-18 championship during the 2024-25 season. That title is the main youth honour listed in his record and represents the latest achievement from his development at the club before the move to Modena.
Born in Calcinate, Italy, Acquah has both Italian and Ghanaian eligibility. His background gives him the option of representing either country at international level, while his football development has taken place in Italy. He leaves Torino’s Serie A squad for a season in the second tier while remaining contracted to Torino until June 2027.
Acquah’s listed market value is €400,000, but the Modena move has been completed as a loan rather than a permanent transfer. The arrangement gives the young midfielder a new senior environment at Modena without ending his link with Torino.
