LFA 239 card featured Mecate-Exposito catchweight main event

Chris Mecate and Manuel Exposito headlined LFA 239 at 150 pounds, with the event held at Ventura County Event Center on August 21, 2026.

Legacy Fighting Alliance 239 was headlined by Chris Mecate and Manuel Exposito in a 150-pound catchweight bout at the Ventura County Event Center on Friday, August 21, 2026. The event formed part of The Throw Down Cornhole Festival, with the main card scheduled for live broadcast on Vice TV.

The Mecate-Exposito fight took the top position after flyweight Gianni Vazquez was called up to the UFC. Vazquez had initially been expected to appear in the headline bout, forcing LFA to change its main-event plans. The replacement contest was arranged at catchweight rather than at flyweight.

Daniel Frunza and Jonathan Hanes were paired in a welterweight contest beneath the main event. The card also included a lightweight meeting between Benny Orozco and Dzhamal Mavliudov, although Orozco missed the required weight for that fight. The bout remained on the schedule, with Orozco fined for the miss.

Nika Sabanashvili faced Artur Gadzhikhanov at a 140-pound catchweight. Middleweights Irakli Kuchukhidze and Austin Clayton were also booked, while Joaquin Garcia and Orlando Sanders were set to meet in another welterweight bout.

The remaining contests included Trever Devestern against Edmund Kwan at lightweight and Sevak Khachatryan versus Aiden Ingram at flyweight. Terrell Bosen and Chris Collins were scheduled for a light heavyweight fight, with Ryan Firinaiu and Yoan Robert-Ramirez completing the heavyweight pairing.

The main card was due to begin at 9pm Eastern Time, or 6pm Pacific Time, after the early preliminaries. The listed programme therefore covered bouts across seven divisions, with the Mecate-Exposito catchweight contest providing the event’s central attraction and the Vazquez call-up shaping the final headline matchup.
