
Oasis Boarding beat Nyabondo 4-1 in FEASSA Games
Oasis Boarding Primary School overcame an early deficit to defeat Kenya's Nyabondo S.S 4-1 during the 2026 FEASSA Games in Morogoro.
Oasis Boarding Primary School defeated Nyabondo S.S 4-1 at the Morogoro S.S playground on Friday, 14th August. The Arua city-based side recovered from an early deficit to secure the win during the 2026 FEASSA Games.
Nyabondo S.S took an early advantage in the 12th minute when Juma Baya scored from close range against goalkeeper Jonathan Gift. However, Oasis Boarding responded with four unanswered goals to complete the comeback.
Junior Feni, Sudais Jamil, Steven Mungufeni, and Abdul Alici provided the scoring for Oasis Boarding. Following the match, Oasis captain Rafael Munguci praised the bravery and courage of his players. Munguci noted that the team maintained their shape and played aggressively even after conceding the opening goal.
On Saturday, 15th August, Oasis Boarding is scheduled to play against a team from Rwanda. Nyabondo S.S will face another Kenyan school, Monire, while Tanzania's Kibamba will play against Kenya's Agongo Primary School. The primary schools are competing in a round-robin format, with the top performer winning the competition.
The FEASSA Games include competitions in athletics, netball, volleyball, and handball alongside football. Schools from Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Burundi are participating in the event hosted by Tanzania. The games will officially open on Sunday, 16th August, at the Jamuhuri stadium.
