Semper Fi beat Nsuopon 1-0 to reach 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup semis

Semper Fi defeated Nsuopon Fidelity 1-0 to secure first place in Group B of the 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup, with both teams advancing to the semi-finals. Semper Fi ended the group stage with five points from one win and two draws, while Nsuopon Fidelity finished second on four points.

The group winners completed their campaign without losing or conceding a goal. Before the decisive meeting with Nsuopon Fidelity, Semper Fi had drawn against Tamale City and FC AshantiGold. Their narrow victory in the final group fixture was enough to preserve top spot and maintain their unbeaten record.

Nsuopon Fidelity’s route to the last four included a win over FC AshantiGold and a draw with Tamale City. The defeat by Semper Fi was their only setback in the group, but four points still carried them through in second place.

FC AshantiGold also collected four points from a win, a draw and a loss, but their inferior goal difference left them outside the semi-final places. Their campaign ended despite matching Nsuopon Fidelity’s points total.

Tamale City finished at the bottom of the section with two points. They drew twice and lost once, leaving them behind the three teams competing for the qualifying positions.

Semper Fi and Nsuopon Fidelity now move into the semi-finals, with the group-stage results leaving the former as the only unbeaten side and the only team yet to concede in the competition.
