Super Falcons defender Jumoke Alani completes Yüksekova Spor move
Nigeria defender Jumoke Alani has signed a one-year contract with Turkish club Yüksekova Spor Kulübü after her NWFL rise with Nasarawa Amazons.
Super Falcons defender Jumoke Alani has completed a move to Turkish club Yüksekova Spor Kulübü, signing a one-year contract with the side. The 21-year-old centre-back joins from Nigeria Women Football League team Nasarawa Amazons.
The transfer takes Alani to Europe after she established herself in the NWFL with spells at Edo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons. Her performances during the 2025/26 campaign earned her a place in the league’s Team of the Season.
Alani’s move adds another step to a career that has already included international involvement with Nigeria. She has represented the country at under-20 level and was among the Falconets’ standout players.
She was also part of the Super Falcons squad that won the women’s football gold medal at the 2023 African Games. Alani later featured in Nigeria’s preliminary squad for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Her signing gives Yüksekova Spor Kulübü a young Nigerian defender with experience in the NWFL and exposure to Nigeria’s national-team setup. For Alani, the contract provides her first move outside the country after her progress with Edo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons.
The transfer follows a 2025/26 season in which Alani’s performances were recognised by her selection for the NWFL Team of the Season. She now begins the next stage of her career in Turkey with a one-year agreement.
